Update on his travels down the Mississippi River

Two summers ago, Ken presented his plans to traverse the Mississippi River and wanted to come back and tell us about his travels. Tuesday morning, August 13 is the date for his presentation. The talk will be very education and filled with great photos and stories. From the August, 2017 meeting / calendar invite Kenneth and Rebecca Mirvis will be driving the length of the Mississippi from Lake Itasca State Park in Minnesota to Venice, Louisiana. During the trip, they will be meeting with water people along the route, learning and teaching about the work of the river and the challenges it faces.

Dr Richter is a practicing family physician and chair of Vermont Health Care for All - an organization advocating for a publicly funded health care system for all Vermonters. She has spoken previously to nearly every VT Rotary Club back when Vermont was considering a single payer system. She promises a provocative presentation with lots of food for thought. |

Securities Division Dept of Financial Regulation - state of Vermont

Vermont Department of Financial Regulation will be presenting on updated Regulations pertaining to the financial exploitation of vulnerable adults and steps that can be taken to report potential instances of fraud or scams. Bill Carrigan, Deputy Commissioner of Securities at DFR will also discuss other types of frauds and scams being investigated by the Department.

FECC Program at UVM this January 7th - 10th

FECC is an international competition held at UVM every January. There are 24 colleges and Universities coming to Vermont from every continent except Africa. FECC is Family Business Case Competition and it’s a big deal. Colleges spend thousands to participate with a three person team and at least one coach. UVM will have an undergrad and a grad team. Thomas Chittenden is one of two Co Chairs. The event shuttles between the School of Business, the Davis Center and the Hilton. The dates are January 7 to 10. |
