On March 2nd, voters will be asked whether to approve the formation of a new regional governing board to determine how a proposed Regional Technical Academy could be organized. The $50 million RTA has the potential to bring great benefits to the area for years to come.

A positive vote does not mean that the RTA will necessarily go forward. Another vote will be held to approve the RTA in November. But this is an important first step to establish a regional governing board, representing the populace, to put the final details together as to how and how much it will take to get the RTA up and running.

The proposed RTA would combine existing centers into a new facility with state-of-the-art programs and technology.
