Brian Byrnes, The Vermont Community Foundation

As President and CEO of the Vermont Community Foundation, Brian oversees a state-wide community foundation with assets of more than $80 million.

Vermont has a large number of non-profit institutions compared to other States, and the Vermont Community Foundation supports a large percentage of these by distributing assets on behalf of donors through planned giving programs, and offering smaller discretionary grants to qualified Vermont non-profits.

By managing this permanent charitable capital, the organization seeks to contribute to the ultimate benefit of all Vermonters. Their goal is to strengthen permanently the infrastructure supporting Vermont's non-profit network, making it stronger and more resilient over time.
