June 9 Program Bob Spear, Birds of Vermont Museum
The Birds of Vermont Museum is a delightful place were visitors can learn about the birds which make up such a colorful and interesting part of our natural environment.
A non-profit educational organization, the Museum is dedicated to promoting knowledge and appreciation of birds. More than 350 carvings are the work of Bob Spear, one of Vermont's leading naturalists, and represent a showcase on the art of woodcarving.
The Museum's collection of biologically accurate woodcarvings offers a unique opportunity to observe birds that will not fly away! Both experienced naturalists and newcomers to the world of birds will appreciate the fine details that make each exhibit a work of art.
The precise field marks and carefully simulated nesting habitats provide the exact information needed to identify birds in the wild.
A visit to the Birds of Vermont Museum is a perfect complement to a nautre walk at the Green Mountain Audubon Nature Center, a 230-acre sanctuary.
The Birds of Vermont Museum is located at 900 Sherman Hollow Road, in beautiful Huntington, Vermont. For directions or more information, please call 802 434 2167.
